Grading college basketball鈥檚 10 biggest coaching hires
Notre Dame: Micah Shrewsberry
It is going to be a little weird tuning into Notre Dame basketball next year without Mike Brey on the sideline. It was a bit of an awkward break up between the two sides, but it may be for the best considering the Fighting Irish have only made the NCAA Tournament once in the past six seasons.
Shrewsberry emerged as one of the better coaching candidates this cycle and it is honestly kind of hard to understand why. He did a really good job this year with the Nittany Lions and that should not be understated. But let鈥檚 not forget that they were 14-17 just a season ago. Shrewsberry has the potential to be a really good coach, but his sample size is still rather small to this point for a job of this magnitude.
