Ole Miss: Chris Beard
It is not catching anyone off guard to say that the Rebels do not have a historic program, or a good program for that matter. Even with that being the case, it was clearly time to move on from Kermit Davis and hit the reset button.聽
Strictly on the court, Beard is an elite basketball coach. He won Big 12 Coach of the Year twice at Texas Tech and the AP National Coach of the Year in 2019. As a result of that, Texas could not have been more excited to hire him. There are obvious questions about the culture he might create with how his Longhorns鈥� tenure ended, but if this pans out for Ole Miss, it could wind up being some of the best years that the program has ever seen.
