Top 10 Indiana high school baseball players in Class of 2023
2. Andrew Wiggins, OF, Heritage Christian
While he may not be selected quite as high as the No. 1 player on this list, there is a good chance Wiggins hears his name called in the early rounds of the MLB draft this summer. Another good spring at Heritage Christian will only help boost his stock. In two seasons with the Eagles, the 6-foot-4, 210-pound talent has been extremely consistent, batting .432 with five home runs, 20 RBIs and 24 steals as a sophomore, and hitting .442 with five home runs, 18 RBIs and 30 runs last season as a junior. While he plays primarily in the outfield, Wiggins has also flashed talent on the mound with a 3.89 ERA and 60 strikeouts in 2021, and a 3.62 ERA with 54 strikeouts as he went 4-1 last season. The Indiana commit has a smooth left-handed swing that he showcased in various events throughout the summer, and he soon may be doing so at the pro level.
