6. George Wolkow, 3B, Downers Grove North
Wolkow is one of the youngest players on this list after reclassifying from the Class of 2024 鈥� where he was a top-10 player nationally 鈥� to the Class of 2023. Although he is younger, the 6-foot-7, 240-pound third baseman is bigger than most of his counterparts, and has a powerful left-handed swing in the batter鈥檚 box. A good athlete who has also starred on the basketball court at Downers Grove North, Wolkow has gotten plenty of experience on the diamond playing with Team USA and the MLB/USA Baseball Prospect Development Pipeline, while also competing with the elite travel program Canes National. He will look to finish off his final high school season strong this spring before either heading to South Carolina 鈥� where he has been committed to since eighth grade 鈥� or going off to the pros.
