Top 10 Illinois high school baseball players in Class of 2023
7. Ryan Geraghty, RHP, Mundelein
Like several guys on this list, Geraghty earned first-team all-state honors last season while also leading Mundelein to the IHSA Class 4A state tournament. On the mound, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound righty was dominant, going 9-1 with a 1.19 ERA and 118 strikeouts. Geraghty has a tricky delivery that makes things tough on hitters, and he has further proved that while playing with Artillery Baseball, at the MLB/USA Baseball Prospect Development Pipeline and during a standout showing at last year鈥檚 Area Code Games. Geraghty likely has a pro future on the horizon, but the Wichita State commit will first look to take care of business this spring at Mundelein.
Impressive showing from RHP Ryan Geraghty (2023; ).
Holding 89-93 on the FB, T94 mph through 5锔忊儯 no-hit innings. Confidence & conviction with the SL. Flashing sharp swing-and-miss action at 76-80 mph. Plenty of weak contact.
