Top 10 Utah high school baseball players in Class of 2023
2. Brayden Marx, P, Pleasant Grove
A teammate of Schow, Marx is the top pitcher that the state of Utah has to offer. The 6-foot-1, 187-pound right-hander is ranked as the No. 2 overall player in the state by both PBR and Perfect Game.
Last year, Marx went 6-3 with an ERA of 2.33 along with a whopping 82 strikeouts and only 29 walks over 54 innings pitched in 11 appearances. With that performance on the mound, Marx earned Class 6A first-team all-state honors.
While many on this list have decided to stay close to home, that鈥檚 not the case with Marx. Instead, Marx will join the D-I baseball program at the University of Hawaii. With Marx on the mound and Schow returning to the field, expect the Pleasant Grove Vikings to be one of the top teams in the state this season.
