Top 10 Maryland HS baseball players in Class of 2023
4. Joseph McMannis, P, Catoctin
McMannis had high expectations going into his junior season a year ago. That鈥檚 because the 6-foot-4, 225-pound right-handed pitcher was on the mound for the Cougars during their 2021 state championship game against St. Michaels as only a sophomore. Despite the pressure around him, McMannis had a strong outing, helping Catoctin win the contest 10-3.
While last season didn鈥檛 garner as much team success, McMannis once again proved that he was the real deal as he earned his third consecutive MSABC all-state honors. Expectations are high for the starting pitcher once again this season as he was selected to the MSABC鈥檚 preseason all-state team. Following his time at Catoctin, McMannis will stay in state when he joins the University of Maryland.
Congratulations to Joey McMannis who tonight was honored as a 3X Maryland All State selection. 馃敟馃敟馃敟
