Every Heisman Trophy winner to win a Super Bowl championship
Tony Dorsett, Dallas Cowboys, Super Bowl XII
Another Cowboys鈥 Hall of Famer, Dorsett was a Heisman Trophy winner 13 years after his teammate Staubach, earning the award in 1976. That year, Dorsett rushed for a nation-leading 2,150 yards and 23 total scores (22 rushing, one receiving) while leading the Pittsburgh Panthers to a national championship.
Dorsett was selected second overall in the 1977 NFL Draft and that year he helped lead the team to the Super Bowl. During the contest, the running back rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown while also recording two catches for 11 yards. With the win, he became the first player in history to win a Heisman, a national championship and a Super Bowl.
Tony Dorsett was the first player to win a national championship and a Super Bowl in back-to-back seasons.
He went back to where it all started to celebrate his Hall of Fame career.
