SEC鈥檚 top 10 basketball players with month left in season
4. Kobe Brown, F, Missouri
One of the biggest surprises in all of college basketball has been the play of the Missouri Tigers, as the team has gone 18-6 on the year. Although they are sitting around .500 in SEC play, the Tigers have had several guys emerge to make them a likely NCAA Tournament team, and one of those guys has been Brown. The senior was decent across his first three years in Columbia, but this season, he has turned into a true scoring threat, averaging 16.3 points on an efficient 57.3% shooting from the field.
While he doesn鈥檛 take a lot of them, the 6-foot-8 senior has shown drastic improvement from 3-point range, shooting at a 45% clip. Brown also posts 6.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game. He has put up impressive performances throughout the season with seven 20-point games, including back-to-back 30-point efforts in late December against the likes of Illinois and Kentucky. Winners of four of its last five, Mizzou continues to look strong, and fans should be treated to more exposure of Brown鈥檚 game come March.
