SEC鈥檚 top 10 basketball players with month left in season
7. KJ Williams, F, LSU
Williams was one of the top scorers for a dominant 31-3 Murray State squad that made the second round of the NCAA Tournament last year, and his game has translated to the SEC with LSU. The 6-foot-10 forward is a top-five scorer in the conference averaging 16.5 points, while also posting 7.5 rebounds, 1.3 steals and one block per game. Williams has posted six double-doubles on the year, and has scored in double digits in all but four games on the season.
Williams鈥 best performance came in early December in a win against Wake Forest as the big man put up 35 points and 10 rebounds. At that point, the Tigers were in the midst of an impressive 12-1 start, but things have taken a sharp turn since, as the Tigers have lost 11 in a row and are just 1-10 in SEC play. Still, Williams has proved to be a bright spot, and he should continue putting up big numbers to close the year.
