5. Mike Gartner, RW (1979-1989)
While Gartner may not pace many of the team鈥檚 all-time scoring records, the former Capitals winger still finds himself at the top, even with a shorter stint than those in front of him. Known as one of the fastest skaters in NHL history, Gartner nearly notched 40 goals in five straight seasons with his standout year coming in 1984-85 when he reached the 50-goal mark. Currently in the top-5 for both goals and assists, there wasn鈥檛 much that Gartner couldn鈥檛 do on the offensive end as he鈥檚 since gone on to lock down a Hall of Fame selection for his work as a scorer.
