Ranking the top 10 Washington Capitals players of all time
6. Dale Hunter, C (1987-1999)
Hunter has spent much of his time with the Capitals in a leadership role dating back to his time as the team鈥檚 captain from 1994-1999 and then as a coach for a quick six month stint. Although his time as a coach didn鈥檛 bring the same level of success as his playing career, Hunter was an integral part of the team’s success in the 90s and scored one of the franchise鈥檚 most memorable goals with an overtime winner in Game 7 against the Philadelphia Flyers. With 872 games played and 556 points, Hunter goes down as a major piece in Washington history.
