Ranking the top 10 Washington Capitals players of all time
7. Scott Stevens, D (1982-1990)
While the New Jersey Devils usually come to mind with Stevens, the tough-nosed defenseman spent the first eight years of his Hall of Fame career in Washington. Stevens would get all three of his Stanley Cups later on but the one-time All-Star and All-Rookie Team selectee still finds himself in the Capitals鈥 record books with 1,628 penalty minutes. With nearly as many points, and more goals, in his eight years in Washington compared to his 13 in New Jersey, Stevens checks in as an integral part of franchise history.
