Ranking the top 10 Washington Capitals players of all time
8. Olaf Kolzig, G (1989-2008)
Braden Holtby鈥檚 10 seasons with the Capitals, along with his Stanley Cup Trophy, might have an argument at passing Kolzig but the former Washington goalie still tops the team鈥檚 records for goals against and ties for most shutouts. Behind 16 seasons with the franchise, Kolzig maintained his status as one of the top netminders in the NHL and even locked down the Vezina Trophy in 1999-00 as the best in the league. With 12,353 saves, Kolzig鈥檚 biggest moments usually came in the playoffs as helped the team to their first ever Stanley Cup appearance in 1998.
