3. Lisa Thompson, guard, Example Academy
Though now a member of Example Academy which she joined , Thompson spent her last three seasons as a dominant force for the Joliet West Tigers, where she helped the team go 26-4 last season. The 5-foot-7 guard excelled as a junior last year, averaging 22.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 3.1 steals on her way to Class 4A second-team all-state honors where she received 40 votes. Thompson committed to DePaul on July 4, choosing the Blue Demons over finalists Boston College, Florida State, Michigan State, Mississippi State and North Carolina State.
