4. Katy Eidle, guard, Hersey
Eidle was named the state’s in March, the first in Hersey Huskies history, but the crop of Illinois players is so talented that she misses out on the top three in this list. Eidle showed that she could do a little bit of everything as she averaged 19.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.9 steals. Her play led the Huskies to a 27-6 record and an appearance in the regional final. She was named Class 4A first-team all-state, finishing just one vote behind Swanson for Player of the Year with 69. Another player who knew where they were going prior to their junior year, Eidle committed to the University of Michigan in Sept. 2021.
