Top 10 Illinois girls basketball players in Class of 2023
5. Jordan Wood, forward, Carmel Catholic
While she played in the smaller Class 3A, Wood’s game was big. The 6-foot-2 forward averaged 14.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists for the Carmel Corsairs on her way to Class 3A second-team all-state with 61 votes. More importantly, Wood was the main piece to a Corsairs team that won its first Illinois High School Association state title in program history. Prior to her junior year, Wood committed to Michigan State women’s basketball and her stock has likely only risen since.
100% committed 💚!
