Zack Martin, Mark Clayton top Indianapolis’ 10 best NFL stars

4. Terry McLaurin, WR, Cathedral

McLaurin is one of two active players on this list, and if his NFL career continues to progress as it started, he could very well end up being the top player from Indianapolis someday. McLaurin’s talent was first recognized at Cathedral High School. As a senior in 2013, “Scary Terry” took home Indiana’s Mr. Football award as he caught 58 passes for 953 yards and rushed for an additional 744 yards and six touchdowns. The star wide receiver also won three state championships with the Fighting Irish. From there, the highly-touted recruit took his talents east to Ohio State where he became a lethal threat by his senior year, compiling 701 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2018. McLaurin was selected by Washington in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Despite dealing with poor quarterback play, McLaurin has had an immediate impact as one of the up-and-coming stars at the receiver position in the NFL, making 222 catches for 3,090 yards and 16 touchdowns in his three-year pro career.
