Another Dunbar star, Davis, was touted as one of the best TE prospects in the. Being a top recruit in the nation helped Davis land at Maryland. With the Terps, Davis would have a memorable career. He finished with 83 career receptions for 1,371 yards and nine touchdowns. During his junior season of 2005, he was a consensus All-American and a finalist for the Mackey Award, which is given to the nation’s best TE. Davis would end up being drafted with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft and head to San Francisco. For nearly nine seasons, Davis suited up for the 49ers, and there were some for him. Davis’ career ultimately ended in Washington but wasn’t before he earned a Super Bowl ring with Denver in 2016. Davis finished with 7,562 receiving yards and 63 touchdowns and was a second-team All-Pro in 2013.Â
