°ä°ù¾±²ú²ú²õ’ journey to the NFL was a special one. He started as a quarterback at Dunbar where he got to play with fellow NFL star, Vernon Davis. With the Crimson Tide, Cribbs earned All-Met recognition from the Washington Post. Cribbs furthered his football career at Kent State as a QB and started as a true freshman for the Golden Flashes in 2001. That season, he would become only one of two true freshmen in NCAA history to pass and rush for 1,000 yards in a single season. Cribbs is also the only player in NCAA history to lead his team in rushing and passing in four different seasons. However, °ä°ù¾±²ú²ú²õ’ 2003 single-season record was later broken by . Despite having the career he did at Kent State, Cribbs went undrafted in 2005. However, the Cleveland Browns picked him up and flipped him to a wide receiver and punt returner. Unbeknownst to them, they found a diamond in the rough in °ä°ù¾±²ú²ú²õ’ returning abilities. Throughout his career, Cribbs would earn All-Pro recognition in 2007 and 2009. °ä°ù¾±²ú²ú²õ’ career wrapped up in 2014, but his name will be forever in the NFL record book as he tied an NFL record with eight kickoff returns for touchdowns.Â
