3. Charlie Gehringer, 2B (1924-42)
A six-time All-Star, Gehringer garnered MVP votes in 13 straight seasons and won the award in 1937 behind a league-best .371 batting average. The World Series champion played at least 150 games in a season nine times, and joined the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1949. Gehringer ranks second among Tigers with 1,775 runs, third with 2,839 hits and fourth with 1,427 RBIs.
