Zimmermann finished in the top 10 in Cy Young Award voting twice and earned two All-Star appearances in Washington. He recorded a 3.32 ERA in seven seasons with the team and made 32 starts or more in four consecutive seasons. Zimmermann sits fifth in franchise history with a 1.159 WHIP, seventh with 903 strikeouts and tied for eighth with 70 wins.
