7. Keith Hernandez, 1B (1983-89)
Hernandez spent more seasons of his 17-year MLB career with the St. Louis Cardinals, but he shined in one of the brightest eras in Mets history during the back half of the 1980s. Hernandez was dealt to the Mets midseason in 1983 and emerged as an All-Star in three of his first four full seasons in New York, part of five All-Star appearances overall for the 1979 NL MVP. Hernandez鈥檚 most successful season in a Mets uniform arguably came in 1986 where he helped propel the franchise to its second World Series title with 13 postseason hits. The two-time Silver Slugger and 11-time Gold Glove Award winner is a member of both the Cardinals Hall of Fame and the Mets Hall of Fame. He had his number retired by New York in 2022.
