Ranking the 10 greatest Atlanta Braves in franchise history
4. John Smoltz, RHP (1988-2008)
Smoltz showed he had the right stuff. The 6-foot-3 righty was an essential piece of the winning puzzle. Soon after Smoltz arrived, Atlanta would serve notice on the National League. The 1996 Cy Young recipient starred as both a starter and closer. In 2015, Smoltz was enshrined as a Hall of Famer.
