Top 10 Indiana high school baseball players in Class of 2025
5. JD Stein, SS, Carmel
Stein has emerged as arguably the top infielder in the Hoosier State’s senior class and has a bright future ahead. Stein put together a strong showing at Prep Baseball’s Super 60 Showcase in February and also showed off his impressive hitting ability at other events throughout the summer and fall. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound senior shortstop has proven his star power at Carmel over the past few years, hitting .385 as a junior with three home runs, 15 RBIs and 14 stolen bases. He also had a .904 fielding percentage. Stein will look to carry his momentum into his senior year with the Greyhounds. The shortstop plans to play college baseball at Wake Forest after his prep career, but he could also hear his name called during the MLB draft over the summer.
