Garland transferred from Courtland High School to Mechanicsville High School for his junior season, giving the Mustangs a true ace. The long-time Virginia commit has an upper-80s fastball and a wipeout slider that allow him to succeed at the high school level. He should be an interesting player to watch in Charlottesville over the next few seasons.
