Elam had scholarship offers to play quarterback at the University of Ohio, Marshall and Eastern Kentucky, but he decided on playing baseball at Louisville. The Barbourville middle infielder is a great athlete and smooth defender. Corbin also has the potential to grow into more power at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds, once he is under an ACC strength program.
