Top 10 Kentucky high school baseball players in Class of 2025
1. Owen Jenkins, C, Lexington Catholic
Jenkins is the consensus top prep player in Kentucky and is already on the radar of MLB scouts. The 6-foot-2 backstop hit .467 in 2024 and drove in 26 runs. Jenkins arguably has the most raw power in the state and should receive the chance to stay behind the plate long-term. The Versailles product flipped his college commitment from Louisville to Kentucky in September.
Still one of my favorite bats in the 2025 class: Owen Jenkins (KY)
– 70-Grade Bat Speed
– Elite Acceleration Profile
– A lot of 100-103 EVs today in BP with a 106.
– It’s also nuts that he can move the bat like that with no stride…Nothing is manufactured – it’s just pure…
