7. Asa Newell, F, Georgia
Newell might not be as polished as Cooper Flagg or others toward the top of this list, but he has a high ceiling that matches many of this year鈥檚 top prospects. Newell has been a catalyst for Georgia returning to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 10 years and will try to help the Bulldogs get their first win in the Big Dance in over two decades. A strong opening-round performance against Gonzaga鈥檚 talented bigs like Graham Ike and Brayden Huff could also raise his draft stock. The 6-foot-11, 220-pound freshman was exceptional against many skilled bigs in the SEC this season, averaging 15.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, a block and a steal. Newell shoots 54% from the field and can make outside shots, shooting 30% from deep. His athleticism and size are intriguing, and he could be a special player once his offensive game fully develops.
