Smart has rebuilt his stock at Marquette after an underwhelming six-year stint at Texas. The Golden Eagles are 97-39 under Smart and are coming off a Sweet 16 appearance in 2024. He would likely be a top candidate if he is ready to take a crack at another major job. This would arguably be the best hire Virginia can make.
