2. Mason Pike, SS, Puyallup
Pike is one of several impressive two-way players in Washington鈥檚 senior class who has shined at the plate and on the mound at Puyallup High School. Last season, Pike was named Prep Baseball Washington Player of the Year as he hit .410 with two home runs and 18 RBIs, displaying quick bat speed as a switch hitter. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound senior was perhaps even more impressive on the bump, going a perfect 10-0 for the Vikings with 93 strikeouts while allowing just two earned runs across 64 innings. Pike鈥檚 fastball can touch the upper 90s, while he also has an impactful slider. His two-way ability could lead him to hear his name called in the MLB draft this summer. If Pike waits to go pro, he will attend Oregon State, joining Mount Vernon standout Xavier Neyens as a Beavers commit.
