Top 10 Texas high school baseball players in Class of 2025
8. Lucas Franco, SS, Cinco Ranch
Shortstop is an area of strength in Texas’ senior class this season and Franco is one of several skilled infielders in the Lone Star State who has pro potential. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound senior is a talented hitter from the left side of the plate who frequently puts the ball in play and has some nice pop in his bat. Last season, Franco hit .417 for Cinco Ranch as an all-state performer. He also racked up 11 doubles, 29 RBIs, 41 runs and 21 stolen bases with a .541 on-base percentage. The lengthy shortstop is solid defensively and had a nice summer in the field and at the plate playing for Texas Twelve. Franco is a likely MLB draft pick come July but currently plans to take his talents to TCU, committing to the Horned Frogs back in 2022.
😤We are all tied up! Red Sox 2025's Lucas Franco () unloads for a BOMB. The LHH smashes a 2-run home run to make it 2-2 in the top of the 3rd in this Final.
