Top 10 Texas high school baseball players in Class of 2025
10. Matthew Boughton, SS, Covenant Christian Academy
Boughton is one of many Texas seniors who plan to stay in-state for college and is also among several Class of 2025 stars who are committed to Texas A&M. The 6-foot-1, 165-pound shortstop has a bright future ahead in College Station, but he will first look to end his prep career on a high note this spring at Covenant Christian Academy. After hitting an impressive .447 as just a sophomore, Boughton maintained a solid average last season, batting .439 with six home runs, 25 RBIs, 40 runs, 18 stolen bases and a .552 on-base percentage. Boughton also looked good throughout the summer with Stix Baseball, showcasing a pure and powerful swing that gives him a lot of future potential.
