Top 10 NCAA softball players entering the 2025 season
5. Jaysoni Beachum, 3B, Florida State
Beachum proved to be a truly special talent in her first season in Tallahassee and was named ACC Freshman of the Year, National Freshman of the Year by both Softball America and D1Softball, and a USA Softball National Player of the Year top 10 finalist. Beachum was the catalyst for Florida State’s offense in 2024, leading several statistical categories as she hit .417 – the third-highest single-season average in program history – with 78 hits, 16 home runs, 66 RBIs and a .509 on-base percentage. Beachum has been named a preseason All-American and the 5-foot-3 infielder could be a darkhorse player of the year candidate in 2025, particularly if Florida State has a strong season behind other returning stars like Michaela Edenfield, Isa Torres and Makenna Reid.
