Top 10 NCAA women鈥檚 basketball All-American candidates in 2025
8. Sarah Strong, UConn
Strong is the lone first-year player on this list and is the favorite to win national freshman of the year. She may also push for first-team All-American status by the end of the season as the 6-foot-2 standout from North Carolina has quickly emerged as UConn鈥檚 next star. Strong impacts the game on both ends of the floor, beginning with her scoring as she puts up over 17 points per game. Her scoring efficiency has been highly impressive as she shoots 58% from the field and 37.5% from 3-point range. Strong also averages 7.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.2 blocks. The Huskies have talent all over their roster and look poised for another Big East title and deep postseason run under Geno Auriemma. With two potential All-Americans, Strong and Paige Bueckers, another Final Four appearance is possible.
