Alabama quarterback options for 2025 college football season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (BVM) 鈥� Jalen Milroe has been the leader of Alabama鈥檚 offense over the past two seasons, but he will soon be moving on to the pro level after recently declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Milroe led the Crimson Tide to the College Football Playoff in Nick Saban鈥檚 final season as head coach in 2023 as he threw for over 2,800 yards and 23 touchdowns. His passing numbers were down slightly this past season as Kalen DeBoer took over, but he remained a dynamic dual-threat quarterback, adding over 700 yards and 20 touchdowns with his legs.
With Milroe leaving Tuscaloosa, DeBoer and the Crimson Tide will have to decide on a new starting quarterback for 2025 who can keep the program in contention for a College Football Playoff berth. Alabama already has multiple players on its roster who could be poised to start next season, while a potential offseason addition also remains possible.
