6. SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl: Texas A&M vs. USC
Texas A&M and USC are two marquee programs that will play for just the fourth time in the Las Vegas Bowl on Dec. 27 at Allegiant Stadium. This will be the first matchup between the two teams since 1977, with the Trojans winning each prior contest – including two bowl games – by at least three scores.
Things could be different this time around with the Aggies around field-goal favorites. Following big wins over Missouri and LSU, it appeared Texas A&M would be playoff-bound in Mike Elko’s first year, but the Aggies stumbled to the finish line, losing three of their last four games. USC also began the year strong but struggled to a 6-6 record with five one-score losses. The Trojans will have a different look in Vegas with starting quarterback Miller Moss and top wideout Zachariah Branch transferring. That could give the Aggies the upper hand as dual-threat freshman quarterback Marcel Reed will have another chance to showcase his talent.
