Ranking the 10 best non-College Football Playoff bowl games
2. ReliaQuest Bowl: Alabama vs. Michigan
The ReliaQuest Bowl on New Year鈥檚 Eve will feature a matchup between two of college football鈥檚 most prestigious programs as Alabama and Michigan will play for the seventh time. Both programs have won three games in the six contests played since 1988, and the Crimson Tide will be out for revenge after falling to the Wolverines in the Rose Bowl last season.
No. 11 Alabama is positioned to play well at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa and is a two-score favorite thanks in part to quarterback Jalen Milroe suiting up. Milroe was inconsistent at times for Alabama as was the entire 9-3 Crimson Tide squad, part of why it fell just shy of a playoff berth. Still, his presence alongside freshman wideout Ryan Williams will give the 14th-ranked Michigan defense all it can handle. The 7-5 Wolverines finished the season strong with a win over Ohio State, but their lackluster offense led by quarterback Davis Warren will need to find a spark to keep things close in Tampa.
