Devonte Ross transferring: 5 possible landing spots for WR
Oklahoma Sooners
Oklahoma ranked 121st in total offense during the 2024 regular season and will look to turn things around on that side of the ball after going just 6-6 overall in its first SEC campaign. The Sooners recently hired former Washington State offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle, and multiple receivers with similar skill sets to Ross have thrived with the Cougars this season, including Kyle Williams, Kris Huston and Josh Meredith. That could make Norman an intriguing destination for Ross, particularly if the Sooners can also land Washington State transfer quarterback John Mateer, who recently entered the portal. Mateer and Ross could make for a lethal combination, and at the very least, Ross would add depth to a receiver room that recently lost 2024 yardage leader J.J. Hester to the transfer portal.
