TROY, Ala. (BVM) – Devonte Ross has entered the transfer portal following a strong junior season at Troy where he was named a first-team All-Sun Belt wide receiver.

The first-team All-Sun Belt performer led the conference in all-purpose yards (1,445) and caught 76 passes for 1,043 yards and 11 TDs this season.

Ross, a former three-star prospect out of Cartersville High School in Georgia, put up 575 receiving yards across his first two seasons of action with the Trojans in 2022 and 2023. The 5-foot-11, 160-pound wideout took a big step forward in 2024, making 76 catches for 1,043 yards, the 15th-most in the country. Ross also grabbed a Sun Belt-leading 11 receiving touchdowns and returned a punt for a score.
The speedy wideout is an intriguing skill position player as he enters the portal and could be a coveted piece at the Power 4 level. Here are five programs Ross could be playing for in 2025.
