Maalik Murphy transferring: 5 possible landing spots

Murphy is from Gardena, California just outside of Los Angeles and garnered interest from both UCLA and USC coming out of high school. The Junipero Serra product stated that behind Texas after he committed to the Longhorns, so a return home could be possible. UCLA went just 5-7 in the first year of the DeShaun Foster era but earned victories in four of its last six regular-season contests. Ethan Garbers was solid for most of the year at quarterback, but the Bruins will begin a new era offensively with Garbers out of eligibility and offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy let go. Former Indiana quarterbacks coach and co-offensive coordinator Tito Sunseri will take over for Bieniemy. Working with Sunseri could be intriguing for Murphy considering the success he just had with Kurtis Rourke in Bloomington.
