10 most impactful players for 2024 NCAA volleyball tournament
Olivia Babcock, Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh has been one of the most dominant teams throughout the 2024 NCAA volleyball season, going 29-1 while riding high on a 14-match winning streak heading into the postseason. The Panthers may have the deepest collection of high-level talent in the country with three players being named AVCA Player of the Year semifinalists, including Rachel Fairbanks, Torrey Stafford and Babcock. Each will play an important role during the championship quest for the No. 1-ranked team in the country, but Babcock鈥檚 play will be key. The reigning AVCA Freshman of the Year and first-team All-American has put up impressive numbers this year, including 563.5 points and 5.87 points per set which ranks fourth in the country. The 6-foot-4 right-side hitter has also impressively tallied 436 kills, 169 digs and 114 blocks this season.
