10 most impactful players for 2024 NCAA volleyball tournament
Elena Scott, Louisville
Louisville is the fourth No. 1 seed in this year鈥檚 tournament and went 25-5 overall in the regular season despite a top-heavy ACC featuring highly talented teams like Pittsburgh, Stanford and SMU. The Cardinals have a lot of talent including fellow first-team All-ACC performers Anna DeBeer and Charitie Luper, but Scott has often provided the greatest impact for the team as a defensive leader. The 5-foot-9 libero was a second-team All-American in 2023 and has earned ACC Defensive Player of the Year honors for the second consecutive season in 2024, racking up 456 digs overall and 4.43 digs per set. She has also contributed 110 assists and a team-high 33 service aces. The Louisville native playing for a national title in her hometown would be a fitting end to her decorated career.
