3. Curtis Stinson Jr., PG, Western Reserve Academy
Stinson, an accomplished hooper on the Hawkeye State prep scene, announced on social media platform X on Aug. 21 that he’d be playing his senior season at Western Reserve Academy.
Stinson was Iowa’s Boys Basketball Gatorade Player of the Year last season, averaging 19.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per outing for West Des Moines’ Valley High School. He shot 52.1% from the field and 33.9% from beyond the arc as the Tigers repeated as Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Class 4A champions.
Stinson was also an IHSAA Class 4A first-teamer. His father was the NBA Development League MVP in 2011.
The younger Stinson has offers from Iowa State, Missouri, Nebraska, and Wisconsin-Green Bay.
Tonight, Curtis Stinson Jr. won his second championship at Wells Fargo Arena. His dad, Curtis Stinson, won one in 2011 with the Iowa Energy.
