Top 10 Illinois boys basketball players in Class of 2025
8. JT Pettigrew, C, Bolingbrook
Pettigrew comes from good bloodlines as his mom, Bonnie Bremner-Pettigrew, was an All-American volleyball player at Penn State, while his dad, Titcus Pettigrew, played football and basketball for the Nittany Lions. JT will follow in his parents’ footsteps as a collegiate athlete at Valparaiso, committing to the Beacons over multiple programs, including Arizona State. JT has a bright future ahead at Valpo but will first look to finish his prep career strong at Bolingbrook as the Raiders are expected to be one of the best teams in the state. Last season, the talented 6-foot-8 center averaged 17 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks. He also had the second triple-double in program history, achieving the feat with double-digit blocks. While JT is a force on the defensive end, he is also a physical player offensively who finishes well through contact.
