Top 10 Big Ten basketball players for the 2024-25 season
4. Ace Baldwin Jr., G, Penn State
Baldwin Jr. is one of the most experienced guards in the Big Ten as he begins his fifth season of college basketball and his second season at Penn State. Baldwin Jr. has proven to be a terrific fit in Mike Rhoades’ system going back to his time at VCU and made a seamless transition to the Big Ten last season, posting career-high averages of 14.2 points and six assists. While he is more than capable of setting the table offensively, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound senior’s greatest strength is his tenacious defense which was on display time and again last season as he posted 2.7 steals per contest. Increased efficiency offensively could lead to Baldwin Jr.’s best collegiate season and may also help lift Penn State from the bottom tier in the Big Ten.
