Top 10 Big Ten basketball players for the 2024-25 season
8. Oumar Ballo, C, Indiana
Ballo has been one of the most dominant big men in the country in recent years and will have a chance to showcase his skills in the Big Ten for the first time after transferring to Indiana. The big 7-foot, 265-pound senior from Mali saw his scoring decrease slightly for an Arizona squad that reached the Sweet 16 last season as he averaged 12.9 points. However, he increased his rebounding, averaging 10.1 boards, while also shooting a career-high 65.8%. Ballo鈥檚 big body makes him a significant presence on the defensive end as well and he has averaged 1.3 blocks the last two seasons. Even though he lacks an outside shot, Ballo should be a good fit in Mike Woodson鈥檚 post-oriented attack and will have plenty of talent around him on a Hoosiers squad that begins the year ranked 17th in the country.
