McKay is someone else who has ties with the Cavaliers and Bennett. He was an associate coach for Virginia from 2009-15 before leaving for Liberty. McKay has remained there for the past nine seasons and has five regular-season conference championships. If the school prioritizes someone familiar with the program, McKay could be near the top of the list.
