Denton was remarkable in his short stint as Rebels field general. In 1996, the native Nevadan finished third in the nation for total yards (3,629). Denton is No. 3 on the list of career completions, yards and touchdowns at UNLV. The 6-foot-3 sensation split after his second season under center.
