10 most impactful players for the 2024 WNBA playoffs
Jewell Loyd, Seattle Storm
Seattle will likely get a tough draw in the first round of the playoffs with either the Sun or the Aces, but the Storm have a veteran team featuring a mainstay with Loyd who won championships in 2018 and 2020 with the franchise. The Storm took a big step back by missing the playoffs last year following Sue Bird鈥檚 retirement, but veteran additions Nneka Ogwumike and Skylar Diggins-Smith have gotten Seattle back on track and have allowed Loyd to continue to thrive. Following a career year statistically in 2023, the former No. 1 overall pick has averaged 19.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.4 steals this season. Her shooting efficiency has been down, but Loyd remains capable of going off at any moment with multiple 30-point games in 2024. She will likely be one of the top offensive weapons of the postseason.
